For the safety of our students and other drivers, Gate #2 (Mayo Street) will now be available for student drop off in the morning, in addition to Gate #6 in front of the school.  Gates will open at 7:40am and close at 8:05am. It is important that students exit only vehicles that are in the drop off lane and that vehicles pull all the way forward and follow the flow of traffic to exit the drop off lane. Please drop off your child and keep going.    Thank you for your cooperation and patience when dropping off students.   Para la seguridad de nuestros estudiantes y otros conductores, la puerta n. ° 2 (calle Mayo) ahora estará disponible para dejar a los estudiantes por la mañana, además de la puerta n. ° 6 frente a la escuela. Dear Tigers Parents, When students use their cell phones to check social media and text their friends in class, it leads to distractions for those students as well as for their peers. This can cause disruptions in class, particularly if the teacher is constantly telling students to turn their devices off. Please remind your students that cell phone usage during the school day is prohibited. Cell phones have become a disruption during instructional time and throughout the school day. Therefore, if a student has there cell phone out during the instructional day, the cell phone will be confiscated and returned to the parents/guardians. The school District and employees are not responsible for loss or theft of personal property. Cell phone usage is allowable after-school for students to contact their parents/guardians. Estimados padres de Tigres, Cuando los estudiantes usan sus teléfonos celulares para consultar las redes sociales y enviar mensajes de texto a sus amigos en clase , esto genera distracciones tanto para esos estudiantes como para sus compañeros. Esto puede causar interrupciones en la clase, especialmente si el maestro les dice constantemente a los estudiantes que apaguen sus dispositivos. Electronic Signaling Devices and Cellular Phones [EC § 48901. 5; EC § 51101]  Districts  and  schools  may  prohibit  Smartphone  use  while  a  student  is  at  a  school site  and  under  supervision  and control  of  staff.    Cell  phone  use  during  instructional  time  is  permitted  only  with  teacher  authorization.  It  is  the  discretion  of  the  site Principal to restrict or limit these devices on campus, should their presence create a disruption. Such devices shall be turned off in class, except when being used for a valid instructional or other school-related purpose as determined by the teacher or other district employee, and at any other time directed by a district employee.   Any device with camera,  video,  or voice recording  function shall not  be used in any  manner, which infringes on the privacy rights of any other person. The school District and employees are not responsible for loss or theft of personal property.   Please see the CUSD Acceptable Use Agreement and Release of District from Liability Policy.
